The 2012 Rodeo Season is finally here and AVYRA is expecting another Great Year of Rodeo!  Tell your friends to come out and join us for all the fun and competition in 2012 and beyond!

New and Current Members!  IMPORTANT!

1. Please submit your membership packets PRIOR to rodeo day so that we can make sure they are complete.  Read the instructions carefully; incomplete or incorrectly submitted packets will result in exlcusion from rodeo until remedied.  Having your membership in place also makes for a smoother check-in process at the first rodeo.

2. Please review your rule books carefully.  They are available on-line, and hard copies will be available at the first rodeo.

3. We will be having a silent auction at our first rodeo.  Remember that these fundraisers enable us to keep the high quality awards we have given in the past.  Please bring and/or bid on an item!

4. We will be having a candy bar fundraiser again this year.  The majority of the membership found this to be an easy way to help raise funds for year end!  We will take sign ups at the first rodeo.  Please sign up for as many boxes as you feel you will be able to sell (and eat!).

2011 Yearbooks - Still Available!

If you didn't get yours or want to share all of the great pics inside with family and friends, we still have some 2011 yearbooks available.  Please contact Christine Bauerle at rodeomom76@yahoo.com

Updates

Ideas for next year: We need everyone's ideas for next year.  If you have any ideas, please submit them through the "Contact Us" tab on this website.

Membership:
All Directors, please review your event in the rulebook and let us know if you have any corrections or clarifications that need to be made to your event.
All Members, read your rulebook!  Please review the rulebook and let us know if you see anything that needs clarification!  Any rule changes need to be made before the first rodeo.  All rules are in effect at the first rodeo!  We would hate for someone to make a great run only to be flagged out for a rule they were unaware of!

Rulebook:
Changes to be aware of:
Ghost Roper/Runner - Contestants are limited to (2) entries requiring a ghost for the year.
Steer Riding - Helmets are mandatory for steer riders

Announcements

Work Crew:
Contestants will receive a work assignment card.  This must be signed by the Event Director and returned to the designated location by the end of the rodeo.  Contestants not returning their work cards will be fined $25, which must be paid prior to the next rodeo.  If you would like to dispute the fine, you will need to present your case at the next Board of Directors meeting in person or send a letter.  The Board will make a decision and the decision is final.  Fines will be paid on or before the next rodeo entry close date or you will not rodeo.

Directors:
Please remember, the Board of Directors meeting is for you, Board Members, and we encourage you all to attend at least one meeting throughout the year.  Also, all general membership members are welcome to attend any Board of Directors meeting.

All Members:
Remember, all our positions are volunteer so please be patient with us as we all have new or different jobs this year.
